Should I Rather Further My Studies, than Focus on Business ?

While it is very popular to be a young entrepreneur, keep in mind that 9 out of 10 startups go nowhere. Are you joining just to join in a startup and be like everyone else? Will going to school and furthering your education provide you with the learning as well as an entirely new expanded set of connections which may open the door to your working in another startup in your home country?

Entrepreneurship is a good choice of career if you like to be independent and actually contribute something new to society. This is in addition to your personal growth and helping in the development of society.

You should learn. Do your research in the field you want to do your business. Deeper learning will benefit your work for sure. And keep on learning even when you work. Because the causes of failures are ignorance and lack of knowledge

I will recommend that you have skills and education to fall back into, should you decide to pursue an entrepreneurial pathway. Keep in mind that, realistically, the average age of successful startup founders is 37-40!

Business can get you to the top being a billionaire easier than education could. Have you ever seen anyone become a billionaire just by salaries ?Education takes too much time energy and money to archive first class but in business you’re the boss the ball is in your court.

Some People who went into business, after a couple of years and trials, wished they humbly took a salary job – any job. While Others who took a job regretted not going into business!

A). Do business:

1). Assess if you have some knowledge and importantly, some special and proven skills and experience in operating a business. Just having some ideas about running a business is insufficient. Unless, you do, it may be rather risky in dabbling with business, as there is a high rate of business failure, particularly with small ones.

2). Do you have the required finance backing to start a business? It may be rather risky if you have to mortgage your property to borrow a loan from the bank for operate a business which you may or may not succeed. How much money do you aim to make, and can you make enough to support yourself?

3). Do you have helpers to assist you in running a business, as it is very challenging and time consuming in running a business. You need to bear this in mind, and your family and social life is going to suffer. Can you afford that?

B). Study further:

1). This is a good option. An educated and trained mind will remain with you for the rest of your life, making you a more rational and sophisticated petson with higher education. You can compete for a better paid position, and further tertiary education are likely to make you an even better and more skilful business person, if you venture into business later. It will also give you the opportunity to do graduate studies if you so choose later.

2). If you plan to study further, you will need to be wise in the choice of a course. You will be wise to choose one that you are most interested in, and also one that you have the aptitude to do well.
